Scott Maloney is Vice President, Environment with Teck Resources. Teck is a diversified resource company committed to responsible mining and mineral development with major business units focused on copper, steelmaking coal, zinc and energy. Operations are located in Canada, the United States, Chile, and Peru.
Scott helps lead Teck’s corporate sustainability strategy, oversees compliance with environmental standards for projects, operations and legacy properties, and provides leadership for environmental risks, opportunities and strategic issues, including tailings, biodiversity, water, air, and energy and climate change.
Prior to joining Teck, Scott worked in international mining roles in Chile, Singapore, Africa and Australia, and as an environmental regulator in Australia. Scott holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and an MBA.
